Car Hire Benefit
ABC insurance Terms and Conditions – Any claims under your Optional Car Hire Benefit are subject to the terms and conditions of your policy document. ABC’s liability under this benefit is limited to the daily amount and maximum limit indemnity provided in our policy terms and conditions.
Please note that ABC will not be held liable for any loss or damage sustained to the rental vehicle as well as any damage to third-party property.
Additional Driver – Your rental vehicle may not, under any circumstances, be driven by another party. Any additional drivers must be agreed upon between yourself and HERTZ. Please note that this will result in an additional fee being levied for your own account.
Breach of contract – Please note that it is important to familiarise yourself with all the terms and conditions as stated in the HERTZ rental agreement. A failure to do so may have a negative impact on your car hire benefit.
Rental Terms and Conditions – Please note that you are subject to and bound by the standard Terms and Conditions between yourself and Hertz, stated on the reverse side of each rental contract, at time of rental.
Speeding – Hertz reserves the right to recall the rental vehicle if it is found that you have breached the provisions of the National Road Traffic Act of 1996 (as amended), including but not limited to, exceeding the speed limit.
Please note that it remains your responsibility, to ensure that all scratches and/or damage to any part of the rental vehicle, is recorded at the time of receiving the rental vehicle. Any damage to any part of the rental vehicle upon return of the vehicle, previously not recorded, will be for your account. These include paintwork, tyre damage, rim damages, windscreen chips, damages, or the undercarriage.
Please make sure that the spare wheel, including the tools, are all in the boot of the rental vehicle.
Please note there is a facility available at Hertz to cover you in the event of chipping or cracking the windscreen and/ or tyre damage to the rental vehicle.
The rental vehicle must be returned to HERTZ within the date and time stipulated in the rental agreement. Please note that a failure to do so may result in additional charges for your account.
